The choice between a soft case or a hard case bicycle case
A soft case bicycle case is usually made of textile and feels like a bag. A good soft case bicycle case is light and made of a thick and sturdy material. The EVOC bicycle case Is a good example of this. The advantage of a soft case bicycle case is that the suitcase can be folded smaller and weighs a lot lighter than a normal suitcase. This is useful, for example, if it has to be able to fit into the trunk of the car. The disadvantage is that the Softcase bicycle case offers slightly less protection against possible damage to the bicycle, but few cases are known of damage.
With a hardcase bicycle case, the entire outside is paved. This makes the bicycle suitcase a lot heavier, but it also offers more bicycle protection. A good hardcase bicycle suitcase is the Curv Bike Guard and the Elite vaison† The CURV Bike Guard is the lightest suitcase on the market and suitable for racing bike, triathlon bike and 29 "mountain bike. The disadvantage is that the hardcase bicycle case takes more space in use. The suitcase cannot be folded. This can be a disadvantage if the bicycle suitcase has to fit in the car or in your hotel room. With the hardcase bicycle case, the bicycle frame is often mounted in the case and covered with foam to prevent any tribulation.
The racing bike should probably apart
Often, in order to be able to transport your bike with a bicycle case, you have to disassemble the bike a bit. Often these are the wheels, the steering wheel and the pedals. The purpose of this is to be able to transport the bike more easily, without damage being able to occur. It is therefore so wise to take tools on a journey. This way the bike can be put back together. The bicycle case usually has a separate compartment to store your tools in it.

Travel by plane
Are you traveling by plane? Then it is wise to take a good look at the condition of the relevant airline. It can sometimes differ per society how much the bicycle suitcase can weigh and how much that will cost. The tires also often have to be empty. This is to prevent the tires from being broken in the airspace due to the large air pressure that is created. Finally, it is wise to check whether CO2 patterns and pumps are allowed to enter the plane.
What else should you think about?
Most bicycle cases are equipped with handy supports and wheels on the underside of the bicycle case. In this way traveling with a bicycle case is more pleasant and less intensive. Before you make the choice on a certain bicycle case, this is important to check. It can sometimes happen that a bicycle case does not have this or not both.
