The Wahoo Elemnt Bolt is a reduced version of the Elemnt, the first cycling computer in Wahoo. The device is small and handy, with GPS and sensors with which you can link it to your Garmin or Mio. Ideal for your time trials and training!
The Wahoo Elemnt Bolt was designed together with Dimitris Katsanis. Dimitris Katsanis is the man in the field of aerodynamics by bike. He recently collaborated with the riders of Team Sky, to be able to better position the riders on the bike. Wahoo has tested the Wahoo Elemnt Bolt in collaboration with him in a wind tunnel against the most important competitors in which she performed well. The Wahoo Elemnt Bolt is even the fastest bicycle computer on the market! This is because they have designed the front mount and the bolt as a whole.
The Wahoo Elemnt Bolt has a screen of 2.2 inches. The navigation computer comes with a front mount and an extra steering mount. In addition, there is a small manual. You can use the 6 physical buttons easy to change or view the basic settings while cycling. The Wahoo Elemnt Bolt also contains a row of LEDs that you can determine yourself. The battery lasts for about 15 hours and can easily and quickly be charged via the supplied USB cable.
The Wahoo Elemnt Bolt can be controlled via a special app that you can install on Andriod and Apple. From this app you can control all settings and route calculations. This way you can get everything out of the Bolt by indicating how old and heavy you are, what your heart rate zones are and you can even fill in your FTP. FTP are data such as websites links and email addresses. The Elemnt Bolt itself therefore has no extensive menu structure and touchscreen at its disposal. The much needed functions have operable physical buttons so that you can easily use them while cycling itself.
The Wahoo Elemnt Bolt can show a maximum of nine data fields. At the top, De Bolt has a row of LEDs with which you can have graphically displayed in which heart rate zone you are, or in which power zone. But the Wahoo Elemnt Bolt can also be used for navigation while attacking a segment on Strava. Another advantage, the Bolt is easy to read what the weather may be.
In addition to the app, you can also easily upload routes on Strava, Ridewithgps, Komoot and Best Bike Split. You do this through Bluetooth and WiFi on your mobile phone and go quickly and easily. The routes can also load you from a GPX file. You can load this file in another app or website to share it this way. A GPX file contains the GPS data that you made while cycling.
