The Shimano 105 PD-R7000 pedals are beautiful and sustainable pedals for the racing bike. The pedals have good stiffness, are not too heavy and the pedal house has been made extra durable. These pedals are therefore ideal for the fanatic cyclist.
Stiff construction, faster cycling!
The pedal house of this 105 R7000 pedal is made of carbon composite. By using this material, Shimano has succeeded in creating a pedal with a high stiffness. The pedal surface is also extra large and ergonomically designed, which benefits the trape efficiency, so that you can cycle faster with the same energy. In addition, the enlarged pedal body reduces the risk of painful feet during long bike rides.
Aluminum plates are applied to the contact points where the shoe plate touches the body. As a result, the pedal body is less likely to wear and you can enjoy this beautiful pedal for longer.
Double bearings in the axis
The pedal axis of this 105 R7000 pedal is double -picked. These bearings ensure that the pedal runs extra smoothly and that less energy is lost while pedaling.
The only drawback of this construction is that the bearings are less well sealed than in an Ultegra R8000 pedal. If you cycle a lot in dry weather, this will not be a problem. However, if you cycle in weather and wind and also in wet conditions, then the Ultegra R8000 pedal might be a better choice for you: this pedal has an extra seal for the bearings.
